Who we are and who decides

PlanMyEvent is operated by CeleBrat Ventures (Cele-Brat Premium Weddings), Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. Event and wedding planners, companies, NGOs and clubs use it to run their events: guest lists, RSVPs, registrations and tickets, payments, vendors, messages and websites.

For guests, clients, attendees, donors and members, the planner who collects your details is responsible for them (the “Data Fiduciary”). CeleBrat processes those details for the planner. For planners' own accounts, CeleBrat is responsible.

What we collect

  • Planner accounts: name, email, phone / WhatsApp number, a securely hashed password, and the Google email if you sign in with Google.
  • Event details: client names, dates, venues, sessions, budgets and payments.
  • Guest and attendee details: name, phone, email, number of people, food preference, RSVP and registration answers, travel and room details, check-in time.
  • Donors and members: name, contact details, and for 80G receipts the PAN and address you give.
  • Photos you upload (event websites, live wall, albums) and messages sent through WhatsApp or email, with delivery status.

Who we share it with

  • The planner running your event, and the people they give access to (their team, your family on the client portal).
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) to deliver WhatsApp messages; our email provider to deliver emails.
  • Payment providers (Razorpay; Stripe for international cards) when you pay online.
  • Google, when you choose “Sign in with Google”.
  • Anthropic (Claude), only when a planner uses an AI feature on that text — it is not used to train AI models.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the app and database. Some of these services may process data outside India.
  • Authorities, only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Guest and attendee phone numbers and emails are erased automatically 12 months after the event. Names and counts stay with the planner's records.
  • Invoices, receipts and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
  • A planner can erase any person's details at any time. When a planner closes their account, everything in it is erased 30 days later.

Your rights

  • Get a summary or copy of your personal data.
  • Correct or update it, or have it erased when it is no longer needed.
  • Withdraw consent and stop messages.
  • Raise a grievance, and if not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you cannot.

Use the Your data request form (each event's form links straight to the planner who has your details). We or the planner reply within 30 days.

Children

The app is for adults. Planners should add children only as part of a family's invitation and must not collect a child's own contact details without a parent's consent.

Security

Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, payment and WhatsApp keys are encrypted, each company can see only its own data, and personal links (RSVP, badges, payments, albums) use long random codes. Nightly backups are kept on the server for 14 days and copied to private cloud storage.
